Football legends have taken notice of Salah’s brilliance. Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool’s Champions League campaign will be crucial in deciding whether Salah lifts the Ballon d’Or. “Liverpool may have to win or at least reach the final for Salah’s ambition to be realised, but no attacker in Europe is currently as productive as him,” Carragher stated.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has also thrown his weight behind Salah, emphasizing that his numbers and overall performances make him a strong contender. Meanwhile, Micah Richards acknowledged the challenge from players like Vinícius Júnior but ultimately agreed that Salah is the frontrunner at this stage.
Can Salah Make History?
If Salah wins the 2025 Ballon d’Or, he will become only the second African player in history to receive the award after George Weah in 1995. It would be a monumental achievement for the Egyptian international, who has consistently delivered world-class performances for club and country.
